Microstructural Analysis of Terbium Doped Zirconia and Its Biological Studies

چکیده

Zirconia has its place in the biomedical industry because of mechanical strength, bio-inertness, and physiochemical properties. was synthesized doped with Terbium (Tb), a lanthanide that reported to show photoluminescence property, which major characteristic for carcinogenic studies. Tb were using co-precipitation technique sintered at temperature ranging from 900 1200 °C. The sample thus studied structural diversities X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), FTIR, FE-SEM, TEM. From XRD, phase transformation monoclinic tetragonal observed, signified limited fracture, elasticity, crack formation. It evident stabilized Zirconia, reportedly shows properties, include fracture toughness flexural strength. particle size comparatively more than Zirconia. ranged between 176 nm 393 110 343 nm. biocompatibility both samples tested an Mg-63 cell line, viability observed be higher when compared undoped sample.
